Legal Solutions
Three focused services for every stage of pension planning
Each service is scoped to address a specific need — without encouraging more engagement than the situation warrants.

How we approach every matter
01
Listen first
We begin every engagement with a conversation, not a questionnaire. The client explains the situation in their own words. We take notes and ask only what is necessary to understand the context fully.
02
Assess honestly
We offer a frank assessment of what legal help is likely to achieve and what it will cost. We do this before accepting instructions, so the client decides with clear information.
03
Deliver in writing
Every substantive piece of advice is set down in plain English and reviewed internally before reaching the client. Documents are stored and versioned for future reference.
Service One
EPF Nomination Review
A focused review of a client's existing EPF nomination form, suitable for those who wish to confirm that their wishes are correctly recorded and that the named beneficiaries reflect their current family situation. The firm explains the legal effect of the nomination, the limits set by personal law where relevant, and any gaps that may benefit from a separate will.
The review concludes with a short written note and, where the client wishes, a fresh nomination form prepared for signature. This service is appropriate for clients who have not reviewed their EPF nomination after a major life change — marriage, divorce, bereavement, or the birth of a grandchild.
Typical Timeline
Two to three weeks from the date we receive the relevant documents. For clients with straightforward nominations, the written note is sometimes ready within ten working days.
Realistic Timeline
Litigation preparation varies by complexity. We provide a written timeline estimate at the assessment stage. Court schedules in Kedah and the volume of documentation are the main variables; we explain both clearly before any commitment is made.
Service Two
Pension Litigation Preparation
Where negotiation and correspondence have not produced a fair outcome, we offer careful preparation of pension-related litigation in the appropriate Malaysian court. The work begins with an honest assessment of the merits, the realistic timeline, and the likely costs — the client is encouraged to consider all of these before instructing the firm to issue proceedings.
Throughout the case, communication is in plain English with regular written updates. We do not proceed to the next stage without the client's express confirmation that they understand and agree to what lies ahead.
Service Three
Lifetime Retirement Plan with Annual Review
A long-term engagement that produces a written plan for the client's pension, EPF balances, will, and family communications, paired with a quiet annual review at the client's option. We see the plan as a living document that may need small adjustments as health, family, and finances change over the years.
The annual review is offered without further obligation; the client is free to set the work aside whenever they wish. Many clients have maintained this arrangement for seven or more years, returning each year for a conversation that is part legal check-up, part family planning exercise.
Typical Timeline
The initial plan is produced over four to eight weeks, with two or three client meetings along the way. The annual review visit takes one to two hours. Between annual reviews, the client is welcome to contact us with minor questions at no additional charge.

Across All Services
Shared standards that apply to every engagement
Strict Confidentiality
All client information is held under legal professional privilege. No details are shared with third parties without express written consent.
Fee Letter Before Work Begins
A clear fee letter is sent before any work is undertaken. The client signs to confirm understanding and agreement. No surprise charges are added without prior written discussion.
Regular Written Updates
Clients do not need to chase for news. Progress notes are sent at each stage. If a delay is expected, we say so proactively.
Malaysian Bar Standards
All practising solicitors hold a valid Bar Council Practising Certificate and comply with the Legal Profession Act 1976 and Bar Council conduct rules.
Professional Indemnity
The firm maintains professional indemnity cover as required by the Bar Council, providing recourse should an error or omission occur.
No Obligation to Continue
At every stage, the client may pause or conclude the engagement. We hold no client to a commitment they are uncomfortable with.
Not certain which service fits? We are glad to discuss it.
A brief telephone call or message is all it takes to begin. There is no commitment, and we will not steer you toward a service you do not need.
